Research ProjectsHistorical ImaginationThe Historical Imagination Project, headed by Professor Marc Flandreau, combines several research initiatives on globalisation, international economics, related crises and the history of these topics. The Project publishes the findings of its ongoing research and is creating an extensive database on the history of trade globalisation. The History of International Humanitarian AssociationsA History of International Humanitarian Associations from 1850 to 1950 is a Fonds National de la Recherche Scientifique Suisse funded research project, intended to deal with a lacuna in modern history. The project will examine five international humanitarian associations – the ancestors of today’s NGOs: the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) ; the League of Red Cross Societies ; Save the Children Fund ; l’Union Internationale de Secours aux Enfants ; the Fédération Internationale des Ligues des Droits de l’Homme. |
